Lancer
Well, this is a relatively simple SCC, right? Of course, they are very costly JP-wise, don't get spears until chapter 2, and they rely on a difficult-to-time move. On the flip side, they do ridiculous amounts of damage midgame with said spears. Dragon Spirit can be very helpful, but its unreliability can make you equip Angel Rings anyway. Range 2 attack means no counter from range 1 units. This is a huge advantage.
Now, for some strategy. When starting, you are forced to decide. I recommend learning the level 3 jump and vertical 2 or 3 jump. Then save up for the level 8 and vertical 8, then get dragon spirit. It's up to you, however. The hard battles are the ones in which enemies have high speed, notably Balk at Murond. Well, I've got a little help for you.
Elmdor: 8 speed is a must, so you can redirect Ultima. Jump out of the way and hope you can get one Ultima and at least one jump first round. Then, you need to be spread out so he Blood Sucks you. Just keep jumping, and hope for hits.
Balk: Flame Shield, White Robe, 8 speed (via accesory manipulation) so either Angel Rings or Sprint Shoes. If Balk is under 35 CT, he's jumpable.
Altima: Well, you want 8 speed. This requires level 35, as you will wear Angel Rings. Otherwise, you are going to have a ridiculously hard time. The first form goes before you, then you hit 5 jumps. Spread out before you jump, however. Then, next round, she goes, then you jump her. Spread out even more and she falls. Now, for the next form, you are just going to have to hope the jumps hit, as you cannot see her CT. No amount of formulae-wrangling will help you here. Good luck.
