Wizard SCC
Like I said, this is pathetically easy. In the early game, you get to Bolt everything in site. Magic Attack UP almost makes them ridiculously powerful. Counter Magic comes in handy, but it costs MP, which can be bad against a certain Leo with Quake and Meteor. The elemental rods boost your elemental damage, but it turns out that Wizard Rods are more powerful once available, and affect everything. The utter power of being able to wear this (the "Power Setup") can smite enemies left and right. Here it is:
Wizard Rod
Flash Hat
Wizard Robe (or Black Robe)
Magic Gauntlet (or 108 Gems)
Coupled with Magic Attack UP means that the standard formula will go through at least 2 alterations. Power, I say! POWER!!! *ahem* Just make sure you are slower than the enemies (not hard once past Chapter 1) so your spells have more time to off them.
There are a few hard battles though:
Yardow Fort City: Yes, the first hard battle is in Chapter 3. Unfortunately, the only help I can give is "Use Flare". Hey, worked for me. You should be over level 18 by this point, with Counter Magic, Magic Attack UP, and Flare. Wear White Robes to reduce the Summoner damage, and put your people to the side of the PBF close to the wall, to get one ninja to ignore Rafa. It is possible to lose this battle without even getting a chance to move. Just keep plugging away, it'll be beat eventually.
Bethla Sluice: I honestly don't know why so many people have trouble here. Really, just line everyone up on Ramza's side with an Angel Ring, all the way in the back. The people on the other side get Reflect Rings and go like this:
W
~W~
~~~
where the ~ are blank spaces and W stands for Wizards. (If you couldn't figure that out yourself...)
Just start the nuking. On the knight side, proceed to use elemental3. If your MA is over 9 (which it should be, regardless of level) then use the corresponding elemental rod. I suggest to use Ice Rods. Now, if you are wearing Black Robes, then the Ice Rods won't help, so just use Wizard Rods. White Robe reduces Ice Brand damage. The knights are fond of lining up for you, so proceed to get them. Now, just use x3. The wizards will fall prey quickly. See that archer on the left? He is higher priority than the wizard not using a level 4 elemental on you. Make sure to flare him. If you don't, you die. Simple, no? If you run out of MP and a knight is left guarding a switch, just wait for crystals. Nuke him all at once, as he might have healing. Just beware. Every now and then they have ridiculous secondaries *coughJUMPcough*.
Altima: Now this is tough. Get level 35 before entering Orbonne. When you get here, just use 5 flares on her first form, then just proceed to use level 3 elementals to kill her to save MP. Face UP will lead to her doom eventually.
